Last month I attended a conference in California. Our lodging and meetings were scheduled at one of the area Monterey Hotels, and a good time was had by all. Upon returning home, I realized that I must have left my jewelry pouch in my hotel room. I was frantic because I have some really valuable pieces and some that are purely sentimental. When I called to report the loss or theft, no one had seen or turned in anything, and I was heart-broken. Then, two days later, I received a call saying that a house keeper had found my jewelry pouch. Apparently it had slid down between the couch cushions. I will always stay in this honest hotel when I return to California.
