 My husband was causing some major problems in my life, he was drinking a lot and I was getting very frustrated with his behavior. I knew I had to leave the relationship but I was unsure of how to go about it without claiming child support first. I ended up having to do a people background check, because he hid out from me and his kids for several years because he didn’t want to pay child support. The state finally caught up with him and he was placed in a very unpleasant place that housed spouses who don’t commit to their obligations.
