Due to the economic conditions I understood boat sales costs (especially at auction) would be down. However, I didn’t understand how much until I conducted my own sales survey comparing repos to retail. For the past seven years I have been chasing boat auctions. And just so you know — in spite of what the marketing headlines lure you to believe: “Repo Boats for $100!”, I’ve yet to witness of a legitimate, sea worthy vessel sell at auction for anywhere close to $100…unless naturally it’s a kayak, or inflatable.
