Their nerves were edgy. They had both applied and been hired onto the same job. They were going to have to go through some maintenance training, which they were worried about. They feared they would make some fatal mistake that would ruin the machinery and cause some one’s death. They could see it now, them standing there with wrenches in hand while destruction fell all around them. They had to quiet their thoughts. These fears were irrational. They kept telling themselves and each other that they were going to accomplish this job well. So they picked themselves up and walked through the doors to their new job.
