Salmonellosis is an infection that no one wants to get.  It can cause many health issues that can be short-term or long-term, and it can even cause death.  That’s why it is important to take all the necessary steps to prevent salmonella contamination in foods.  This can be done in all sorts of ways, but one important thing to remember is how to refrigerate the food properly.  Make sure that the freezer the food is stored in is between zero degrees fahrenheit and negative forty degrees fahrenheit.  When thawing food from the freezer it is important to thaw food in the refrigerator, in cold water or in a microwave in order to prevent salmonellosis.
