Simply speaking, plyometric exercise is a form of training created to produce fast, powerful movements. When using this system it’s said to improve the functions of the nervous system which in turn, betters your performance in sport.Depending on what type of sport you are associated with, plyometrics enables athletes to jump higher, run faster, throw farther and hit harder and is often used in basketball training to increase both force and speed with the goal of jumping higher.Plyometrics work by loading and contracting the muscles in rapid sequence thus enabling the athlete to use the elasticity, strength and innervations of the muscles to perform better.
