Dogs and the Recall Command
Wednesday, October 13th, 2010It would be great if you can teach your dogs how to follow orders and do certain tasks for you. One of the most common tasks that dogs are being trained for is the recall command. This is when your dog stops in his tracks, looks at you and comes running at your order. Remember that dogs and puppies learn from experiences so with recall command, you must make sure that whenever you call them, you are giving them a pleasant experience. Aside from that, try to use your recall command with a friendly tone. Given an instance that he does not react the first time you call him, call him again but don’t change your tone. For this command to work properly, there must be a sense of trust between you and the dog. So try to establish that trust.
